Principal: Ms. Edith Stuart

Edith M Stuart, 93, Raymore, Mo., died Friday, June 23, 2000, at Foxwood Springs Living Center.

Ms. Stuart was born August 15, 1906, in Johnson County, Mo. She was the principal at Bristol School for nine years before retiring in 1971. Earlier, Miss Stuart was principal of Mark Twain, Seven Oaks, Leeds, and Stark elementary schools, all in the Kansas City school district. Prior to becoming a principal, she taught at Mount Washington School. She received her master's degree in education from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and did further work at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and at Central Missouri State University. She was a member of Kappa Delta Pi, honorary society in education. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Raymore, Birchwood Baptist Church of Independence, Loma Vista Baptist Church, and Bethany Baptist Church of Kansas City.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Raymore. Burial will be in Mount Washington Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church memorial fund.

Leslee J. Douglas, 47, a resident of Kansas City, MO, died December 26, 2002. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 30, at the Nelson Chapel in Green Forest, AR.
